Yangon was the capital of Burma before 2005, and is still Burma’s political, economic and cultural center. Yangon International Airport was early built in 1947. As passengers boost every year, airport capacity needs to be expanded for more passengers. The operation began in 2007, and nearly 200 million dollars were invested in the expansion construction.

In November 2016, the last part Terminal 3 was completed and came into service. Now the airport can handle 6 million passengers annually, as opposed to 2.7 million before. Yekalon feels honored to participate in this grand project, and we have supplied interior building materials like railing, airport counters, automatic glass door, glass partition and hardware fittings. One-stop service like designing, measurement, installation and after-sales service were also provided.

It is a long-term cooperation for us, and the project is challenging, but our team finally solved every problem together. For us, every effort spent on the project was worthy for customer satisfaction and mutual trust.

After Burma’s Minister of the Ministry of Transport inspected the construction, Terminal 3 was opened to public. On the opening ceremony of the new, large airport, Yekalon was invited to join and celebrate it.

We couldn’t be happier when stepping on the brand new airport, and we could feel that it is ready to welcome passengers from all over the world.

Now, Yekalon moves further in serving big public projects. We are looking forward to cooperating with more people in the world. Will you be next one?
